About Sri Lankan Cuisine
Sri Lankan cuisine's roots come from our close neighbors, southern India, across the Gulf of Mannar. Incidently, The Gulf is famous for its pearl banks, hence the name of our restaurant.
With its rich history in producing spices, especially cinnamon, allied with the influence of Portuguese and Dutch colonization, Sri Lankan food has a uniqueness all of its own. Rice and curry are the staple dishes, but the highlights are the hoppers, rotis, pittus, stringhoppers, lamprais and other regional dishes.
We are located in West Hills on the corner of Roscoe & Fallbrook. We have been in this location serving our local community for over 11 years. Pop in during the day for a quick snack or take-out or relax with friends and enjoy the warm California evenings outside.
